Ballerina

Fits women's size 7-8, can be customized to
fit any size by repeating R9 to desired length.

Materials ~
ww yarn for the slipper
dk/sport weight yarn for the trim
size G crochet hook
needle to sew up end

Gauge ~
4 hdc and 3 rows are 1”

Notes ~
~ Turn after each row.
~ The slipper is worked from the toes to the heel in 1 piece. When you begin the sides, they may not look wide enough, however, when the slipper is finished and you add the 2 rows of sc for the edging, it will pull together nicely to fit snuggly.

Begin ~
R1 Ch 10, hdc in the 3rd ch from the hook, (2 skipped
chains count as the first hdc, now and through out) hdc in
the next 6chs, 7 hdc in the end chain. Continuing around
the opposite side of the chain, hdc in the next 6chs. 5 hdc
in the last ch, join with a slst to the first hdc. Turn.
(26 hdc, measures about 3” from end to end)

R2~4 Ch 2, hdc in each hdc around, join with a slst to the
beg. ch2. Turn. (26 hdc)

R5 Ch2, hdc in each of the next 8 hdc, 2 hdc in the next hdc, hdc in each of the next 2 hdc, 2 hdc in the next hdc, hdc in the next 9 hdc, 2 hdc in the next hdc, hdc in each of the next 2 hdc, 2 hdc in the next hdc. Join with a slst to the first hdc. Turn. (30 hdc)

R6 Ch2, hdc in each hdc around. Join with a slst to the first
hdc. Do Not Turn for next row. (30 hdc)

R7 Ch2, hdc in the same sp as joining. Hdc in each of the
next 19 hdc, 2 hdc in the next hdc. Leaving the last 9 hdc
unworked. This was the only row you Did Not turn.
(23 hdc)

R8 Turn, ch2, hdc in the same space as the ch2. Hdc in
each of the next 21 hdc, 2 hdc in the last hdc. (25 hdc)

R9 ~ 22 (You may have more or less than 22 total rows, you can stop or continue repeating R9 to your desired length. Just do not crochet past the heel of the foot, you want the slipper to be a little snug to fit well) Turn, ch2, hdc in each of the next 24 hdc. (25 hdc) Finish off and leave a tail long enough to sew up the heel. Sew up the heel.

Edging ~
Join the Main Color in the sewn seam of the heel, sc evenly around the top side edge (the opening for the foot) of the slipper, crocheting down 1 side, across the top of R6, back down the other side of the slipper. Finish off and weave in ends.

Join Contrasting Color in any sc, sc in each sc around the edge. Finish off and weave in ends.
Make a tiny pom~pom and sew to the back top edge of the heel.
Make 2 slippers and enjoy! Or better yet, make several and donate to your favorite charity to help spread some warmth this winter!
